Holly has been part of the Stoney Meadow family for 10 years! And we could not be prouder of her development as a rider, trainer and teacher.
Holly started working at SMF while still in high school...while she was also working another part time job as well as being a working student for our other resident dressage trainer, Amy Larson. Very determined, Holly put herself through college while still working 3 jobs as well as focusing on her own riding.
Holly has been a working student for Amy since 2002 and still supports Amy even though she has now started her own professional career.
Holly has ridden with many notable clinicians including Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel Betsy Steiner Vicki Hammers-O'Neil Laurie Hedlund Alf Athenstaedt Sue Halasz Jana Wagner Cathy Jones-Forsberg
Holly spent this past winter in Florida as a working student for Nancy Later and then Cathy Jones-Forsberg where she expanded her knowledge and skills.
As an AA, Holly brought her Heinz 57 horse, Jediah, from a backyard trail horse to showing at 2nd Level and schooling 3rd Level including qualifying for Regional Championships at Training, First and Second Level. Jediah now lives in Arizona teaching others dressage through 3rd Level.
Holly has continued bringing her own horses along, first with Cadence Saphire and now Reino. Holly bought Cadence as an unbroke 2 y/o and took her through the Materiale Classes earning year end all breed awards before selling her in 2010. In 2010 Holly purchased Reino, a lovely Holsteiner/Andalusian gelding who she is now working 1st/2nd Level. Reino is enjoying the winter in Florida with Holly.
Holly earned her USDF Bronze Medal in 2009 riding SMF's own Klass Act.
